This programme is aimed at people who wish to work as trainers and those who already do so and wish to enhance their skills and gain a qualification. It will also suit those who are interested in developing their personal and interpersonal skills.

The programme aims to facilitate learners to develop a theoretical knowledge of adult learning, team working and leadership. It is also designed to provide them with experience of training and development, both as learner and trainer. The programme will look at all stages of delivering and evaluating training.

The programme will be a vibrant and dynamic mix or practical skills, activity, and the theory that underpins learning, training and human development. All participants will have the opportunity to practice training skills on the course. The programme will be highly participative: there will be lots of activity, interaction and discussion.

It is envisaged that those who undertake the programme will become:

  • Knowledgeable in training and adult learning theory

  • Skilled in assessing training effectiveness, designing and implementing training evaluations

  • Clear on the role of the trainer

  • Skilled in delivering a training intervention

  • Skilled in creating a positive, open and reflective learning environment

  • Skilled in evaluating a training programme and learner progress

We further envisage that participants will benefit to extent that they become:

  • Skilled in leading teams

  • More confident in their general skills, abilities and competencies, with enhanced career progression prospects.

Moreover, there is a substantial body of evidence that those who participate in effective groups benefit in many intangible ways. It is held that self-esteem and perceived sense of self-efficacy rise, and general personal and interpersonal skills develop positively. Fusion Training & Development propose to run a person centred programme in which respect and encouragement are central to the learning process.  Participants will experience a cohesive, respectful, encouraging and achieving environment, which will provide them with an experience they can seek to establish in turn when they operate as trainers.
